When you delete a file, (without emptying the trash) the file simply gets moved into the folder called “trash bin”
(in non techy language). You should also just be able to find the trash folder in unix in your terminal on the mac and erase or empty it (I just had a look around just now and there are many apps or explanations online for this). This will spare you from finding the computer that “matches” the trash bin.
